EvelyneBrancart Piano Training

I did indeed study with Eduardo del Pueyo for ten years. Maestro del Pueyo, himself a student of Marie Jaëll's approaches, passed-on many facets of her teaching  and research — based on her years of direct work with Franz Liszt. My own approach to playing and teaching is consequently steeped in 19th century practices.

I was taught in ways that enhanced inner awareness, with mental intent preceding physical action. Speed of attack was key, as well as building conscious connections with each finger and finger tip. I was also encouraged to study rhythm through Dalcroze and physical awareness through yoga.

I later studied with Maria Curcio, Leon Fleisher and Menahem Pressler, each one adding to my growth as an artist!
